Renowned photographer Brassaï is the subject of several books and exhibitions this year, including a major presentation of his work in Sweden. Brassaï – The Secret Signs of Paris runs from 28 March to 4 October at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm and includes more than 160 vintage gelatin silver prints made by the photographer himself.
The exhibition features Brassaï’s legendary night photographs of Paris, its inhabitants and environments, as well as his extensive documentation of the city’s graffiti.
If you can’t make the show, two new books have been published by Flammarion, both priced at £35: a new edition of Brassaï’s classic 1933 book, Paris By Night, and an English edition of Brassaï: Graffiti. Find out more here.
